Advanced Finish

·         Prerequisites; 3 years of Sand & Finish experience AND attendance at the Intermediate Sand & Finish school. Plus complete NWFA University Sand & Finish courses.

·         This 3-day course is designed for experienced wood floor professionals. We start with working through the proper preparation of the wood floor to receive the desired end-result look. Learn from a variety of subject matter experts on a variety of finishing techniques using unique application methods, products and systems such as reactive conditioners, bleaches dyes, oils, pigments, and other colorants in conjunction with a multitude of finish systems to create a pallet of styles and looks within the same floors. We also work with many unique and historical woodworking finish processes that often take the finishing process to a higher level.   Come experiment with manufacturers and product to learn a multitude of skills to take to your own jobs, and to further your career in our trade. This course is not necessary, but strongly recommended for those looking to pursue a Certified Master Craftsman status.

·         Receive three continuing certification units upon completion.
